Dr. Dana Homer, MD

First, I will say I never met the actual doctor. I see him say it is not his practice or facility however I think he is missing that the facility is part of the experience. If bad staff are there, you will not be reviewed as highly. So yes there is a review on Jackson as well but I wanted people to know what you may have to deal with if you decided to go with this doctor because I was not warned. I had made an appointment to have an IUD removed after having horrible side effects for almost a year. They booked me two months away. I was willing to wait as I had heard good things about the doctor. They waited till 5:10 the night before to tell me they had to reschedule me. Of course, I was driving so I didn’t see the call till I arrived home which was too late. I have never been cancelled on by a doctor till coming to Miami. It’s so unprofessional. I called them the next morning and explained the bad side effects and that now they have discovered a liver mass caused by contraceptives. I asked if another by doctor could help as I had waited two months. The girl returned to tell me the nursing supervisor said all they could do was book me another month away. I refused as my comfort, well being, and health is obviously not a priority. What an awful place. I hope you never have to go through what you’ve put me through. I hope you are never begging someone to help you because every day feels like torture and to have them tell you no. Unfortunately, this was a really awful experience for me.

Had an absolute disaster here. They spent weeks sending us back and forth late in pregnancy and never returning phone calls. We called every single day and then after saying they would accept us as patients for days they said it was too late (because of their delays) and we would have to start all over with another practice. Extremely irresponsible doctors and their scheduling system is separate so it’s all out of sync. The people answering the phone are not directly working with the doctors and they are unhelpful, do not know anything about our case, and just kept repeating the scripted lines over and over.I highly recommend trying any other doctor because this has been a huge mistake for us.

I had an appointment today for a yearly exam. If you are a new patient here you have an additional stop to make before seeing the Dr. You will need to register and sign in at suite 201. The actual appointment is in suite 210.The receptionist in suite 201 was very pleasant and polite. The assistant in suite 210 is also very pleasant as well as friendly. Dr. Homer was very thorough in explaining what my exam consisted of and answered my questions before getting started. Very clean office and is conveniently located in the same building as Miami Transplant only on the second floor.

I waiting 1.5 hours for my appointment before I finally left. The staff was so rude and wouldn’t give me any indication when I would be seen. It’s like they couldn’t be bothered. I finally left since I had work (my appointment was at 830am) and I didn’t want to go on a fertility journey with people that couldn’t be bothered with me.

Dr. Homer delivered my baby via c section two weeks ago and was wonderful. He was caring and took time to answer all of my questions and ease my anxiety about the surgery. Recovery was quick with no complications. If I have another c section in the future I will be requesting Dr. Homer as my doctor again. During post op visits he was thorough and genuinely cared about how my baby and I are doing. I feel very comfortable in his care and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Homer is an amazing doctor. He took very good care of my health and my unborn child’s health during my pregnancy. He made me feel safe showing me how much he cares for his patients. His personality is very humble, caring and displays good bed side manners.Personal experience, my baby was breached so I had to have a c-section, and as scared as I was, he made the whole process more comfortable by playing my favorite band on the speakers and talking about everyone’s favorite Marvel movie 😊 It really helped keep my mind away from all the concerns and negativity I was having about the procedure.Would definitely recommend Dr. Homer as your Obgyn doctor. 🙂

Went and they charged me as I was “infertile” when I’m not and because of that have a 3,000 bill on my insurance. Have called them to change the billing number as told by my insurance and they never did it. They just want to scam you and charge you. Avoid using Dana Homers assistant.Update: spoke to the office and the office spoke to Dr Homer and he said his “diagnosis” stands and therefore could not change the codes. I went to speak about natural family planning, not infertility. Ridiculous as is his response to my review.

I have been to MANY gynecologist in Miami (7 to be more exact) and Dr. Homer is by far the best. He is young, kind, explains everything, takes his time with you, gives you confidence and more importantly very knowledgeable. Not to mention that the C-section was perfect and the recovery was so fast almost like anything happened.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Homer... he definitely deserves more than 5 stars! Not only did he totally get that I would have to make jokes throughout the entire appointment in order to deal with the awkwardness of it but then he laughed at all of them (I’d like to think sincerely, but he may have laughed out of kindness too.)I could not have asked for a better appointment. I was immediately brought into the room and though I waited for a bit before he came in, it was totally worth it. I’m sure the wait was reflective of the level of attention he gives all of his patients. I never felt rushed, he listened attentively, laughed with me and did the most important job of making me feel comfortable.I told him it’ll be a while before kids are part of the picture, but I expect I’ll be seeing him from now, till then, for that, and beyond.If you’re lucky enough to be referred to him, you’re in wonderful hands!!

Dr. Homer is amazing. He goes above and beyond for his patients and he’s an amazing surgeon. He is very meticulous and I felt safe under his care. I had my share of complications but knowing I had him on my side made me feel safe.

Dr.Homer is an amazing doctor! Talking to him is like going to go catch up with a friend who just so happens to know everything about you Health wise . He gives great advice and has definetly put my mind at ease. He deserves more than 5 stars!Great experience! Amazing doctor! No complaints!

The doctor himself is good and very professional. His staff, on the other hand, do not like answering the phone. I spent 2 days calling them and they never answer, I even left voicemails. They never got back to me. Don’t recommend if you don’t like having your time wasted.

Dr. Homer delivered my twins via c section. I must say babies are great and my incision is perfect. I am grateful I have a great doctor. He answer all questions and takes his time to make sure you understand everything. 100% recommend!!!

Best OB GYN ever. Advocated for me when I was ready to deliver. Every appointment, he took time to listen to me. He was never rushing me. I didnt feel like just a number. Highly recommend!

I love Dr. Homer he takes his time with his patients, explains everything very detailed and has a great personality. Staff is awesome and very helpful. I definitely recommend their practice to any woman expectingt.

Everyone in this office is special but Dr Homer is phenomenal knowledgeable the best bed side manner I wish I could give 10 stars and I’m glad I was able to share my second pregnancy here my son is 2 now and if I was to ever get pregnant again I would come all the way back from South Carolina just because you can’t put a price on people that care about your health and well being Kaea Gamble miss you all

Dr. Homer met me for the first time yesterday. He was very attentive and listened to all my concerns. This is a great practice where all the doctors on staff are amazing.

Best Gyno ever! He has been by Gynecologist for several years now and he is simply the best. He make you feel very comfortable and explains everything very well. I highly recommend him to anyone.

First visit with Dr Homer,He was very nice and answered a lot of questions. Our appt did not feel rushed and he even asked us if we had baby names picked out, till now no doctor had asked us that.

The office is great all the girls in the front desk are helpful and with great attitudes. The Doctor in general is amazing I’ve never been treated so kind and take his time with the visit, I am super happy with his treatment and knowledge.
