Great place , great Docs and nurses! They take good care of their patients! We were in and out in no time, especially because we reserved a spot online before we even left the house! I much prefer that than sitting in a cold emergency room waiting for hours this way we.can sit at home until it’s our time! Definitely recommend this urgent care they’re wonderful!

Worst Experience Ever on 12/15/24. My mom had an appointment at 1:53 mind you we waited for additional 25 minutes. This location at the time we came had only a family at the back and one person sitting at the front along side of us. My mom came in with bad ear ache and headache wasn’t feeling good at all. The doctor then said she had to go on lunch before she see her and it then added another 20 minutes. Why would you have us to schedule an appointment over the phone if you knew you had lunch to take around that time??? Didn’t make any sense and not how you supposed to run an urgent care. My mom then was finally able to go to the back and be seen, she didn’t do much but claim my mom didn’t have an infection and gave her the wrong diagnosis that she didn’t have. She was only in there for 10 minutes with no prescription or nothing to go based off of. And rushed through her appointment. It was a lady with blonde hair that was seeing patients. I’m not sure if she is really a doctor because her customer service and knowledge of patients; new or continuing is horrible. Be aware of this location; we just never experienced this before and always loved going to Novant facilities. But next time please do better with scheduling and actually being there to help people not run people off.. Just an heads up you will have to put a card on file even with insurance so that was another issue just never been to a place like this. I don’t usually like to write reviews but this was just an absolute No!

I went to Novant Urgent Care for the first time this past Sunday. I was able to schedule an appointment when I called which was within a 30 minute time frame of my call to them. When I got there the check-in was swift and easy and I was immediately seen by a NP. The NP was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk to. She diagnosed me with shingles and prescribed the appropriate medication for me to take. She was very thorough and informative about shingles and sent me home with additional information about shingles. I was done in 30 minutes. She is the only medical professional I have talked to during my entire shingles experience who has actually helped me. I am very grateful for her help and the help of the entire staff at Novant Urgent Care. I would definitely recommend them.

If I could put a zero start I would! I went in for an allergic reaction rash. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! Barely looked at it and said nothing they could do to wait it out until I could call my primary doctor Monday! I’m beyond miserable and even asked for a steroid to at least take the inflammation and itch and they said nope. Biggest waist of $50 copay to be given zero answers! I will be reporting to the corporate office! And mind you I gave the rash 5 days to get better and NOTHING gives me any relief!

Great urgent medical care is hard to find these days but this clinic and its staff is the exception. They were able to get me in after making an appointment online: in which the nurse and doctor were genuine in their care and listened to my concerns of my condition and health history. The clinic was easy to find and the clinic itself was nice inside…even had coffee, tea available. This will be my go to if I cant get into my regular practitioner.Thank you for taking such good care of me :)

This review required 2 parts due to Character amount .. PART 1I would like to express my concern about a visit my husband (Montrell L. Brown 12/30/78) had at Novant Health GoHealth Urgent Care - Poplar Tent 5303 Poplar Tent Road, Suite 90 Concord, NC 28027 with Terri St. Clair, FNP. The visit has left myself as well as my husband who was the patient feeling we were manhandled, abused verbally, humiliated, spoken to in an oversimplified manner by the Terri St. Clair . I documented the visit in my notes on my cell phone. I was going to record but after she threating to kick us out the facility I opted out and just took notes. So here is what I documented from this traumatizing experience at Novant Health GoHealth Urgent Care - Poplar Tent from the beginning to end. Unfortunately, we will never use this location again. Even though it was highly recommended by our PCP April Gentry that morning. She suggested to schedule an appointment since they have a XRAY machine. I spoke with her giving her details of what happened to Montrell’s ankle, and she suggested we go there based on location and that they had XRAY machine, and they could determine if he need to go to the ED. So, I went ahead and scheduled Montrell appointment for 1:30pm 8/6/2024 at this location.Montrell arrived at 130pm for his scheduled appointment. He attempted to check in with front desk he advised them had appointment at 130pm. He explained he hurt his ankle at work and that he was a contractor and was told that he could just do his own health insurance or Workers Comp. They didn’t give him very much information about Worker Comp. The job told him to just be seen and get paperwork and they would get billing corrected on there end for Workers Comp if he decided to file a claim. Montrell paid his $35 copay to the front desk staff who ended up taking us back to a room. The guy asked the standard triage questions, had him take off sock ask what happened, pain level, time of injury etc. Keep in mind we explained to them that the injury happened at 7am that morning in Kingston, NC. Montrell was unloading his truck and his ankle got pinned in between the Pallet Jack and caused intense pain/pressure instant swelling of the left ankle. He completed his stop drove to nearest store to examine injury. Ankle had immediately started throbbing with extreme pain and he felt nausea and got sweats. He rested for 30 minutes and took 2 Tylenols around 730 ate some crackers and Gatorade this was around 730am. He drove back to Concord, NC which was about a 4-hour drive from Kingston, NC. We have now been in the room about 7 mins the young man leaves out says the doctor will be right in. We hear the doctor talking very vociferous outside the door saying take them out that room now! He can’t be seen its against the law without all the Workers Comp information. The young man comes back in room ask Montrell to put shoe back on and go to waiting room. Its around 2pm now Montrell pain is overwhelming he has only had the Tylenol this morning at 730am. We exit the room go to waiting area. We are refunded the $35.00 Copay because we are told that we can’t be seen if we don’t have all the Worker’s Comp information. So, we tell the second gentleman that is upfront the information we have is very limited and we just need to be seen. We have a scheduled appointment that our PCP April Gentry told us to make. Terri St. Clair, FNP is standing there and proceeds to say in a disparaging, offensive tone. That without all the information he will not be seen. If I keep asking questions about the wait time and him being seen she would put us out the facility. We again explain we have very limited information that we have paid copay that now has been refunded. We have no problem getting the billing corrected on the back end. I also explain to her that I work in the ED. I know for a fact that if a patient doesn’t have all the information upon being seen that the patient takes on the responsibility of getting the bill handled. Turning away a patient isn’t and should never be an option.

Came to Poplar Tent location in Concord NC and Ana V. was amazing just listening to me about my daughters sickness. We were waiting for her test and she is freezing my fault for not dressing her in pants and long sleeves I asked the front desk and the first girl immediately told me basically sorry they were moving as fast as they can and had no blankets. Right away Ana came in with a blanket for my sweet girl who was feeling bad freezing. Its small things but I definitely think she should be recognized for taking the small steps to make sure my baby was comfortable while waiting. I hope Ana is recognized and knows she is appreciated for just taking the extra steps for patients! The other girl then let me know that she doesnt normally work here and they dont have blankets at her location and thats fine but if you had asked rather than just blowing me off you would have been able to get my baby a blanket. These small acts of kindness are what we need in this world who is slowly turning to evil.Brittany H.

Worst service ever. Came to get tested for COVID and expected to receive the same treatment my wife got the day before at another Novant health location. Unfortunately they didn’t have any walk in openings at the other location and we ended up going to deal with Terri St Clair who decided to put her personal believes in front of treating a patient. She neglected to provide treatment or options and we ended up going back home with no medication whatsoever even after seeing my blood pressure was pretty high because of the sickness. A formal complaint has been submitted against her for her lack of professionalism and for putting her personal believes and feelings instead of treating a patient.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I called before going to make sure the xray machine was working. I spoke with Karen and she informed me that the machine was working, but could we wait until tomorrow to come in and be seen. I told her no this needed to be looked at today. She then told me they would not be able to see us and do xrays today because theyre already working on an emergency. Without knowing the reason for me wanting to be seen. This was not how I expected to be treated at all. They would never have to worry about me bringing my family here in the future!!!

I made an appointment online due to my back spasming out. This was the 3rd day of being in severe pain. I had not been able to eat or drink so taking Advil on an empty stomach wasn’t happening. Upon arriving for my appointment, there was someone checking in front of me. There was a woman behind the counter that looked up and saw me and asked if I had an appointment. I said yes. She then asked what the appt was for, in front of the other 2 patients there. I told her back pain. She then told me that they didn’t have pain medication to give me for an injury. Ummm who said I wanted pain medication?? Not me!! (Side note, my mother was seen at this same location for her back being spased out and they were able to give her a shot for pain and muscle relaxers. She had told me to go there bc they helped her, so I made an appt.) After being told 2-3 times that they had no pain medication to give me, after I never once said I was there for pain medication, I left. This was all done in the front while 2 patients were there. It is not anyone’s job in healthcare to ask why I’m there, unless I’m being checked in at the front desk. It is also not your job to make an assumption why someone is at an urgent care. I work, pay my taxes and met my deductible to my health insurance. If I want to be seen for something you think is insignificant, it is not your job to tell me your opinion in the waiting room where other patients are waiting. IMO, you need to find a new job. I hate going to the dr and I hate when the healthcare system allows patients to fall through the cracks bc you don’t want to find out what is truly wrong with someone!

Terri St. Clair rudely denied me antibiotic treatment for a sinus infection here. Just like the other complaints and bad reviews about Terri, she denied me healthcare after this office charged me money and filed with my insurance. She could not have cared less if I died. After this horrible experience and complete waste of time and money, I went to Fastmed, was diagnosed with a sinus infection, and received antibiotic treatment, plus over-the-counter recommendations. I had to make two doctor visits today and pay twice at two different medical clinics when Terri could’ve treated me at the first visit. Terri shouldn’t be practicing medicine. She couldn’t correctly diagnose and treat my sinus infection. She didn’t listen to me and didn’t read my medical history. I told her My Novant primary care doctor prescribed antibiotics for my last sinus infection but she refused to listen. Instead of checking my medical history, she rudely said she didn’t know who that doctor was and wouldn’t prescribe me antibiotics. She made every excuse not to help end my suffering instead of doing her job. When I called back after the visit to ask for a refund and how to file a complaint for being denied medical care, the office person was rude and showed no compassion, gave no apology, cared nothing. All I got was an email address. If you want to receive appropriate medical care from a competent clinic, go to Fastmed.

A particular trio of women (TripleA, baby!) embraced my evident need for an antibiotic with 10mins left before closing, and I couldn’t be more grateful. They saved me from, AT BEST, an expensive bed in the ER— if not worse. My self-care deficits and depression put me in a dangerous situation, and words can’t express my appreciation for their display of compassion and empathy.A previous WALK-IN clinic (FastMed) had already denied service to my deformed face for “not having an appt”. It feels like FastMed chose to shield themselves from inconvenience, while Novant put my dire circumstances before themselves. I’m grateful. To sum it up: I walked into Novant feeling like an objectified burden, and they made me feel human again. I got my antibiotic and was on my way home to rest.Thank you, dudes.

This location does not have an xray machine, despite it coming up on all searches for one. I was contacted 7 minutes before my appointment when I was already in the parking lot and told via text message that they didn’t offer that service. If you see patients for “injury,” perhaps have them further specify what type and let them know you don’t have an Xray machine. They offered to see me at that facility and then send me to another one for an xray. No thanks. Felt like they were just trying to get me in the door.

Took my daughter to have her injured elbow examined. They said she needed an x-ray but we had to go somewhere else for it. A couple weeks later, my other daughter had a minor injury that would have required forceps and maybe a couple of stitches. Receptionist said they couldn’t treat her here. When I asked where else we could go, she thought for a minute and suggested the ER in Mint Hill. It bothered me that they weren’t capable of treating a minor injury. It bothered me that they didn’t have an instant recommendation on where else to go. It bothers me that we live in the fastest growing part of the county and we’re half an hour away from an ER that can treat a minor injury. What even is the point of this place?

What Terri St Clair put me through at this Novant Urgent Care is borderline sadistic. I went in due to a UTI Thursday evening. I had already taken an OTC avo test per another provider. Said test was postive. When at the office, Terri St Clair told me my test was negative and immediately jumped the gun to interstitial cystitis. The amount of stress I went through going to an Urgent Care with all the UTI symptoms and to be completely blown off and told I potentially have an extremely painful, incurable, chronic ailment when my symptoms had only started on Sunday...I begged for antibiotics and she declined..never even telling me the urine would be tested again. Why would she even bring a potential IC diagnosis to the table when I dont even have a history of UTIs...Also can we talk about the fact that a nurse practitioner wanted to use the excuse of not providing me antibiotics because I could get c diff? Really? The research says thats only a possibility in this scenerio because antibiotics kill all the bacteria in your gut including the good. But she wanted to use c diff as her reasoning?I ended up going to an actual doctor, the test was positve, and I was given antibiotics. On Monday, I get a message in MyChart stating I do have a UTI and they were sending in a prescription. Good to have 2 prescriptions, I suppose. At least if I know I have another UTI, I do not have to go through the stress of that.Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting to tell someone whos does not have a history of UTIs and whos symptoms started on Sunday that they potentially have interstitial cystitis on Thursday.
