NextCare Urgent Care Albuquerque

This Urgent Care was so quick and easy! I made a same day appointment, was seen with little wait, and my heart went fast and smoothly. The nurse and doctor were so sweet and friendly. I felt taken care of when I was at my lowest. Thank you!

Efficient, and when you dont want to wait hours to get help with an issue. Doctor was helpful. Staff was friendly.

It was the great! Everyone was very helpful and the facility was really clean. I was surprised at the short wait time but not complaining. We will definitely use the urgent care again.

Couldn’t be more disappointed about my experience here, took me longer to get there than for the “doctor” to tell me that he wasn’t going to bother to check me. I was looking for at least a professional opinion on my situation but the “doctor” Andrew Allen was far from professional. He behaved very rudely and inconsiderate. After I told him what I had, he straight up said, “I’m not checking you or giving you anything” (all because I was seen before somewhere else) and proceeded to leave me there in the room, not once did he make eye contact with me nor even try to do his job. I have never left a bad review anywhere but this guy definitely needs to take some humanity lessons. Truly waste of time!

I had a real good experience with them. I needed to be seen during the NYE holiday and was appointed quickly the next day. Nice office and staff, not too busy. Dr was very thorough and attentive. Gave me great care. Only problem was he called in my rx to the wrong pharmacy. Which was closed that day. So when I was leaving I noticed that and had him redo it to the right pharmacy that was open. When I got there I had to pay out of pocket $45.00 cuz the 1st pharmacy had already billed it.

I suffered a knife cut while preparing supper. We immediately went to NextCare because it was the urgent care closest to us and still open. They were able to take care of me. The staff was efficient, kind, and helpful. The PA who served me was very thorough, explaining what needed to be done. I am very pleased with the care that I received!

The staff was friendly and efficient enough. They got me in to see the doctor fairly quickly and the doctor gave me a quick diagnosis. We will see if he was correct.

I want people to be friendly to me when I enter a business. A smile, a hello, some warmth. Both women working the front desk seemed upset that I was there, like it was an inconvenience to have a patient. When I arrived no other patients were here, then someone else arrived and they were called back to see the Dr before me! I asked about it, and she said they filled the paperwork out faster on their phone than me. Also on the Nextcare website it said no more online apts but were taking walk ins and 0 people in line. Several other patients came in and were sent away even though it said they were still taking walk ins. Each patient explained that online it said still taking walk ins. I think it should be first come first served. It was only a matter of minutes that I was slower filling out my paperwork. The nurse who took my vitals was friendly.

Although as a walk-in we had to wait about an hour, we understand. The visit was quick and efficient. One issue: When I wanted to add a second, simple need, I was told to make another appointment; that they deal with ONE thing at a time. Clearly, this provider is intended for simple medical issues and one should not attempt to use Next Care for full-person, multiple medical needs should be directed to other health care settings. WITH THIS IN MIND, NEXTCARE IS VERY GOOD FOR SIMPLE, SINGLE MEDICAL NEEDS (e.g., a prescription ointment, not the resolution of the medical issue, e.g., dermatitis). Thats the best way I can explain how this program seems to operate. With that caveat in mind, the service is quite good.

The ladies in front constantly spoke Spanish and were giggling and laughing. They were professional but not friendly. Did not go above and beyond. I was a few minutes early for my appointment and was called into a room fairly quickly but waited in that room for 30 minutes. I was freezing. The person who saw me was very professional and explained what he was going to prescribe and it was fast.

Everyone we came across was rude and barely spoke to us, explaining nothing. We waited an hour just to go into a room, have the doc take our daughter’s temp, and then send us out of the room with a barely audible mumble that they won’t treat infants there. Why didn’t anyone say they wouldn’t treat our infant when we walked in the door? The lobby was also pretty dirty. Overall, definitely not comfortable going back there again.

Shayla is nice (I think that was her name-my apologies if that is incorrect), I appreciated her attentiveness and gentleness with my child. The doctor was unpleasant. He seemed more concerned that my child had their thumb in their mouth and it was triggering his phobia of germs than actually what was going on with my child’s condition. His judgemental-ness was alarming. He even went as far to say that my child needed to watch the episode of Magic School Bus on germs…yeah not funny, actually insulting. Get real dude, and you’re supposed to be a doctor or PA… The ladies at the front were enjoying “social hour” cursing, laughing, chatting about their personal lives even though my child was right there. Not professional. They could care less if a patient walked in. They’d just say the same scripted response to everyone then go right back to chopping it up with their coworkers. Probably won’t be back here as it wasn’t that professional of an experience, but the MA was great. Only person I could see that actually cared. NextCare, please do better. Actually hire people who care about being professional and helping the sick. People who aren’t going to judge and make you out to be less of a human than you are. This is off putting to say the least. Would NOT recommend this provider.

I always have a good experience when I come in here. The staff is caring and nice. You get great care both in person and through their video chat. This is the only urgent care I go to when I need it. They have an app, I have not used it but I sure it helps out for all those tech savvy people out there.

The Dr. was able to help and diagnose me with a problem I have had that no doctor was able to diagnose me for almost 8 months. I I’m more than impressed with the doctors insight. He seems to care about his patience and is super smart.

Intake person was rude and changed the time of my appointment as I stood there. When I asked why I was pushed back to a later time she said someone booked on line. I know that’s not true because there were no online appointments available so I had to go in person. I left because I don’t trust liars. Very unprofessional!!

I had scheduled a video visit for my toddler. She’s been running a fever for a few days. I was in the waiting lobby 15 minutes before my time as requested and I got KICKED OUT, my session was closed BEFORE they even saw us, no one came on screen and there isn’t even a number to call the clinic directly, just a call center and on top of all that, IM STILL GETTING BILLED 🤬😤😡

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Denied Care After Paying Co-PaymentsI recently visited a NextCare facility with my daughter and had a very troubling experience. After paying two co-payments for both of us, we were denied services and told to leave by the triage medical assistant, Brenda. Her behavior was completely unprofessional, and I was shocked by the lack of customer service and basic care.When I checked in, I gave consent for my daughter to accompany me back, and vice versa. However, the medical assistant, Brenda insisted that she had the authority to decide who could accompany whom, and refused to allow us to be seen together. She then informed me that she was the only one who could triage us and, for reasons unclear, told us to leave.This level of treatment—denying care based on what seems like a personal power trip—was both unacceptable and distressing. I’ve never encountered such behavior at any medical facility, and I find it hard to believe that this is acceptable in a healthcare setting.I will be following up with local and corporate management as well the state licensing board (if applicable) regarding this incident, but I felt it was important to warn others. If you’re seeking care at this location, I highly advise proceeding with caution.

I arrived in Albuquerque from Maine for a family visit and found I needed medical attention for an illness. I have never needed medical attention while on vacation and it was upsetting to say the least. My experience at the NextCare clinic was nothing but comforting. The staff and provider were amazing. My wait time was quick and everyone was friendly and caring. I was in and out of the clinic within an hour. Thank you to all the staff at this location for their wonderful service.

Not a good one, Dr didn’t speak 5 words to me, unprofessional manner , didn’t tell me what was ailing me just told me to go sit in the lobby after he looked at my throat.that next care not for me.I Had to go to another Dr- provider and was told I had throat and ear infection and needed an xray. And meds.

From front end staff, to the MAs and Provider, everyone was very professional and pleasant. I am very satisfied with my experience and would recommend this location to anyone.

Doctor and one of the male nurses were kind and professional. Only issue I had was everyone was talking at a whisper like it was a nursery full of sleeping infants.One of the female nurses who took my vitals was kind of sour though and barely said a word, and muttered more than whispered when she did. Which made it difficult for me because I came in for a cough (upper respiratory infection I later found out) so hearing a whisper over a cough was hard. She also seemed annoyed that I didnt automatically know how a covid test is taken (I opened my mouth forgetting its a nose swab, but Ive literally never had a covid test taken so I autopiloted.) I get that for a nurse you know the ins and outs of what to do, but that doesnt mean a patient will know, especially if theyre rarely sick like me. Regardless, I was seen and given the prescriptions I needed to start feeling better all in the same day. Ive been to this urgent care once in the past for a bad ankle and generally staff and treatment is good, just the occasional sour apple in the bunch but I wont dox them for that.

I went in thinking I might have strep throat. Surprise! Covid! I was a walk-in but got in to see the doctor fairly quickly. He did an exam of my eyes, ears and throat, and gave me a prescription for paxlovid and sent me on my way. Everyone there was very pleasant and efficient. Only downside was I gave Covid to my friend whom I was visiting.

I had to return in an hour to be seen but that was fine. The young kid checked me, listened to my lungs, checked lymph nodes and ears, then prescribed the meds. After a week of being sick this will get me back to recovery. What I like about Nextcare is urgent care access on weekends. My health provider, Optum doesn’t have that capability anymore. The standard line on the phone recording is “If this is an emergency dial 911”. Healthcare in NM has declined precipitously. Thankfully, Nextcare fills that gap

I had an appointment so the wait was only about 20 min. Doc listened & examined carefully, ordered appropriate meds & scans for prolonged coughing starting to border on chronic. New meds are already helping.

Hi, I arrived 10 minutes early and was seen on time. Very positive environment. I recommend Next care if your needing care and dont have time to sit in waiting room.

We went here for a sports physical. We made an appointment online and it was very easy to setup and reschedule. Check in was quick and done from the app. The staff in the front were helpful and friendly. The Dr was very nice and made the visit very comfortable for my son. We spent about 15 minutes here it was so fast and everyone was wonderful! Absolutely recommend.

Doctor is incredible, as always. he’s very covid cautious! however, receptionist in the front was coughing without covering her mouth. i went in covid positive and was shocked that the doctor was the only other person wearing a mask. i don’t get why people cough without covering their mouth at least

This place has one problem. It is too professional and friendly. I was 45 minutes late for my appointment because of traffic but everyone was still very nice and treated me warmly. Very good attitude towards patients.

Great experience!! We called to schedule and appointment, they were able to see us the same day, the girl who scheduled us was very pleasant as was the girl who greeted us. We waited maybe 10 minutes before we were seen. The PA was professional and efficient. Great visit overall.

I normally have a pleasant time at this urgent care. However I went in recently for a prolonged bit of food poisoning and the woman at the desk was very snippy. I didn’t say anything, but if I had been really ill it probably would’ve sent me over the edge. After a long wait the doctor came in asked me a few base level questions and then just told me it was cannabis overuse. He did not ask about my history, just how often i smoke now. He started to give me a prescription for a drug that I had stated previously did not work and then sent me on my way. One covid test and said goodbye after 5 minutes of speaking to me. I felt unheard and completely miserable without even a doctor recommendation to cut back on smoking. I paid 50 dollars to essentially tell another person my story. Why get into healthcare if you don’t actually want to care for your patients health?

Overall great experience and best price for teen camp/sports physicals - $25! Went for a camp physical for my teen - website said walk-ins available but we were turned away. Was able to make an appointment for next day at convenient time. Triaged quickly, PA we saw was great, and in and out in about 30 minutes. Would recommend and will be back again. Thank you!

I am here in Albuquerque visiting a friend and have had to use this clinic two weeks in a row as the mosquitoes and an assortment of other bugs have been eating me alive! The staff are so compassionate and treated me with respect and kindness as they did the first time I was there.I did not have an appointment but was seen immediately both times by different PAs who asked clear/useful questions and all my questions/concerns received direct answers. No time was wasted.I would Absolutely recommend this care centre. Louise Ullmann

I was waiting in the room when I heard the doctor making fun of my voice with the nurse. He said it sounded like I was taking testosterone. I also heard him laughing and making fun of some other patients issues. Very unprofessional, I will not be going back

I was seen promptly and received attentive care for my sinus infection. The NP prescribed medications to treat my symptoms. All personnel were attentive and good communicators.

The gal in the front was extremely rude to multiple people including myself. When I asked her a question she replied with “why don’t you google it”. As someone in healthcare you should never treat people like this in a time of need.

The 2 hispanic ladies at the front the chubby one super disrespectful the other not so much, the doctor seemed to not really care at all, they lied and told me some made up story as why they couldn’t see me. I’m traveling Route 66. Finished the westbound and now we are Eastbound back to Chicago. Booked an appointment while I was in Gallup, NN and drove the 2 hours here. So glad I did. Very professional and caring. Listened to my symptoms and explained everything to me.

I like this clinic. Its very cozy, the staff are great, and its just very comfortable. Eric Pedersen was very professional, and made sure I understood everything as he gathered or relayed information for his exam.

Nice to be able to make an appointment & be seen in a timely manner. Waiting time in the exam room was rather unexpectedly long in between seeing the doctor, taking x-rays, and the the re evaluation.

Im a flight attendant from Texas on a 30 hour layover. I feel ill very quickly and went to this facility near my hotel. They were fast and treated my illness above and beyond. I was so thankful! Theyre great

This place is a joke!!! Not sure why they are open other than to miss lead you that they can help you, only to take a $35 co-pay, usher you to a room & 20 minutes later a doctor comes along & can’t even remove a tight cast. But he doesn’t tell you that until you wait another 30 minutes, & you walk out the room to find him texting on his cell phone & glad to here you are leaving. They have nothing but Tylenol for pain relief, & no sedatives to help my 94 year old mother relax. What a piece of trash for a health urgent care facility.

I had originally given a 5 star for quick and friendly staff. Changing to a 1 star as they diagnosed me with bronchitis, COVID was never discussed. The following day symptoms got extremely worse, took an at home test and it was positive. Called back at 2:50 to see if they were able to prescribe something for COVID. I was told the doctor would call me back and never did. I wouldnt recommend this place.

The visit was great and fast. But, getting ahold of someone for directions after a complication was impossible

I was able to get walk in appointment, however I felt everything went rush because they wanted to close it up for the evening. I am disagreed with the diagnosis that I received. Even they did not update the mailing address and preferred pharmacy after I filled the frigging form.

I didn’t feel comfortable with the knowledge the provider seemed to be lacking. I got no answers and was not satisfied at all. Overall, the facility was very nice and the receptionist and MA were courteous and polite.

Other than having to make an appointment prior, I was treated very professionally and efficiently. I had called for the appointment while I was on my way back from Los Lunas so I had not filled out the paperwork prior to arrival. The provider was very gentle in his treatment of my ear and answered my questions promptly. I would definitely go there again.

I appreciate the staff, unfortunately I didnt get the Dr. Name but Im sure its on my chart. But they assisted with finding a solution to my issue. And went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure i was okay mentally. Kindness goes along way and for someone who is experiencing heavy feelings of loneliness at the moment I felt cared for. Thats a rare feeling for me. So thank you. You saved a life today. ❤️‍🩹❤️

24 hours later I am still waiting on a generic prescription to be called to my pharmacy.Tried calling to check on it and all they said was yup, We didnt call it in. Maybe it will be called in today.

Got me in quickly even though I didnt have an appointment. Doc prescribed medication, which is something I needed for a long time.

My experience at this particular location was perfect I was able to do everything online. I was seeing as walk-in Within 30 minutes of arrival. I was out within 5 minutes after being seen by the provider. My overall experience was excellent the doctor knew exactly what was going on with me and prescribed me medication to go home with I would definitely revisit this location.

Very satisfactory. It was quickest service Ive had in a long time. I went to have a balloon thing removed from my nose only thing I was told was not to blow my nose or pick it but can I take medication for a runny nose also can I continue to use the Nettipot? Questions I forgot to ask.

We were driving through Albuquerque on a road trip heading back home and they had us in and out within an hour for our toddler’s suspected infection. All staff members from front desk to nurse and doctor were friendly and welcoming. Daniel saw our toddler and was very helpful in providing us with a paper prescription so we could expedite obtaining medication at the pharmacy and continue on our way home. We are so thankful for this location and the team we saw on our visit.

This was the best urgent care experience i’ve had!! It was easy to make an appointment, no wait, I was in and out, and most importantly everyone one there was very nice!! I saw Dr. Eric love him! I will be going back if needed!!!

Doctor was great! Prescribed me the right medication to get rid of my nagging cough.

Not organized, asked for my insurance 3 separate times, I uploaded all the information and was told that they don’t use that part of the program, then why ask to have it filled out and uploaded if it’s not going to be used, then I had to give insurance card again because she said that my information was on the other front desk computer and didn’t want to retrieve the information from the other computer, was told to come in at 11:15 but was sent a message via your portal to be at the office at 11 , when we arrived I was told no I was wrong even though I showed her the instructions that were sent to me, seemed as if the front office is very unhappy and did not want to help in any way.

This practice is a certified first class medical facility. I went in with my grandson who also was not feeling well. The staff was patient and very reserved, but eager to remedy my condition. The doctor was also very professional and conducted a thorough work up. Hands down a top notch operation.

After struggling all day with sinus problems, was suprised to be able to schedule an appointment the next morning. Walked into the reception area 12 minutes before my appointment. Waiting area seemed full of walk ins, but was seen about 10 min after my scheduled appointment. Triage was fast and sat in the private room about 15 min before being seen. PAC Allen was very professional and courteous. He verified I had a sinus infection and gave me different options for treatment. Was on my way out the door within one our of walking it. No complaints!

Love this place! Super fast and the staff were all incredibly nice! I came in for a tetanus shot and it was the least painful and most professional shot 😎

Absolutely worst urgent care in town. They never sent my prescription to the pharmacy. First they called me after I left to tell me the Dr. accidently physically printed my prescription. They asked me if I could come back and pick it up. I informed them i could not as I was already too far away. I asked them to send it to my pharmacy and they assured me they would. But did NOT. Then NEVER picked up the phone when I called to try to have them resend it. I had to have my sister drive there the next day as Im sicker than ever to ask them to send it. Then they had audacity to get angry with me and refusing to speak to me, for calling them out when I heard them lying to my sister saying *I* requested a physical prescription and I left before picking it up. They are ill-mannered, uncompassionate liars, who will happily take your money and bill your insurance for services they didnt fully provide. Rating is truly 0/5. Go to literally any other place.

The care when you go into the clinic is good. I’ve been seen by the same doctor both times I went in for urgent care and he was very nice. Staff is also nice. I’m giving 1 star because both visits, I either never received a call about my lab tests or got a voicemail with a call back number that just leaves you on hold for forever. They say you can access labs online, but you can’t really. You can see some of the labs and the others all say “see comment or note”. Once you’ve left the building it’s impossible to speak to anyone at the clinic. I probably will not go back here for this reason. I’d like to be able to speak to a real person when I’m trying to get results about whether I have something contagious like COVID. They try to act like this have this amazing app you can do all this stuff on, but it sucks. Glitches all the time, locks you out. Definitely can’t book appointments because it tells you to put your phone number in, but won’t let you click on the space to fill it in. Very frustrating.

NextCare Urgent has been the absolute best with my son and I. We are from out of state and stopped because my son did not feel well. They got us in fast and prescribed us medication fast. Now we can continue our roadtrip feeling better! Thank you!

Not a true urgent care!!!! Don’t let the giant red letters on the side of the building fool you. “Walk-in Medical Care” is a joke. Priorities appointments over walk ins and frequently turns away patients. Long waits for walk ins. Front desk staff was rude and belittling. Did not inform that their clinic was appointment based or give an estimated wait until after I had sat for an hour.

The wait time was the only positive about this experience. The doctor barely even looked at my daughter. Was probably in the room two minutes and he talked so quiet that I could not even hear what he was saying.

I rely on this place a ton as it’s close to home and usually the staff are 100%. Today was my first unpleasant time here with Dr Daniel Spohn. Although Dr.Spohn was polite, not once did he ask me my pain from 1-10, not once did he ask if I was able to walk, and not once did he ask what I came in for. Immediately started with “I’ve reviewed your notes, here are all my assumptions”. My pain is at a 10 and I can hardly walk, the reception processed me very quickly but only for me to sit in the exam room for 40 minutes before he came in. It was clear he had no interest in listening to me, and that his goal was to expedite our encounter as quickly as possible. As a result, I am writing this review, I have rescheduled an appointment for tomorrow at the exact same time with a Doctor Who will hopefully listen and assess rather than assume and assess. I hate leaving reviews but when it comes to medical professionals, bedside manner is critical in patient care. Dr. Spoons unwillingness to trust my knowledge of my own body, paired with the excessive weight time in his freezing cold exam room i’ve made it clear that I need to request specifically to not be treated by him

I hate to write a negative review and would never do so if it werent true but I had the worst experience as a patient today. I previously loved this nextcare but I had a terrible experience. The provider took so long to see me though I had an appointment (which I understand because things get busy) but they told me they had a shift change and I feel like her only goal was to get me out of there. She did not ask me what my symptoms were nor did she examine my ears or throat for flu-like symptoms. They didnt check my lung or heart sounds and the nurse didnt take my weight. She came in telling me it was allergies without even asking about symptoms. I had a fever, chills, sore throat, plus all my coworkers had recently been diagnosed with the flu. When I tried to tell her about pain in my sinus area, she cut me off to rudely correct my incorrect term and said nasal cavity not sinus. When I told her about my previous diagnosis of sinus infection by her colleague and how I thought it hadnt resolved, she said Sinus infections are rare you didnt have that without knowing my history or even examining me. This provider proceeded to tell me that the last provider I saw (that also works at nextcare) prescribed me something out of protocol and alluded to the providers being lazy. She seemed really unprofessional to be saying that about her coworker. All together this was like a 5 minute interaction with her rushing me out. Really terrible experience.

My daughter was seen today for a possible ear infection, at the Menaul location. The PA lacked bed side manner, professionalism and was completely unapproachable. He confirmed she had an ear infection and walked out of the room. He didn’t provide any opportunity for questions or to give any direction on measures to be taken. Antibiotic was called in, but we also needed an optic drops for comfort and a school excuse. I attempted to the contact office for hours. There was no answer or options to leave a message. I contacted the Unser office and the receptionist told me to revisit the office they don’t answer their phones! How is this a business? We are very disappointed with today’s visit and would not recommend it!

Previously Ive had great experiences here. My visit today with Daniel Spohn has certainly changed how I see NextCare. There is no circumstance where its okay to make fun of your patients behind their back to your coworkers, especially as a healthcare provider. Next time you wish to make fun of your patients, perhaps do it in a place they cant hear you. (Yes, people can hear you from the bathroom) Or better yet, hold your tongue and be a professional. The woman working the front desk was polite at least.

Dr Andrew . The rudest most unprofessional doctor there . Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere where they value their patients and actual do their job because they want to help others not get mad and upset because you ask kindly what the status is on timing after waiting in a room for an hour . Disgusting how this doctor treats his patients. I will however say that Brenda was the sweetest and the front gentleman taking in patients was also amazing . Everything was great. Just had to wait for the Dr. A good while. What for make an appointment if you still have to wait? I was seen for strep throat. I was already uncomfortable with paint but the wait was worse. !

Always clean and friendly staff, appointments are in out and easy to schedule.

Almost no wait time. Dr and staff were nice. The most painless visit I’ve ever had to an Urgent Care facility. I’m very impressed, & will definitely use them again in the future.

I was seen very quickly and my co-pay was extremely reasonable! I was cared for well and given exactly what I needed for a long infection boarding on walking pneumonia. I will return in the future, thank you for the excellent care!

I have absolutely no idea what has happened to costumer service, but it certainly had changed and I DO NOT mean that in a good way.Also, the knowledge and ability to diagnose correctly doesnt exist anymore. I had to go to a different urgent to get a proper diagnoses; I was correctly diagnosed with a serious if not a severe allergic reaction. I was treated and given medicine right away and the doctor/PA and nurses and staff were firm, very polite, and helpful in treating me. I would definitely recommend PRESNOW 24/7 Urgent Care on Paseo Del Norte And San Pedro.

Had to wait over an hour just to be checked in and told that the wait was over 2 hours even though they had just 1 other person in the waiting room. They dont answer the phone and will keep you on hold for up to an hour before just hanging up on you. Doctor dont send prescriptions on time and they will make you sit in an exam room just for a physician to come in check your breathing, look you up and down and throw a random prescription at you.

Are doctor was kind and courteous and they seemed knowledgeable and efficient

I usually go here all the time for anything. But today I looked online to see if they were open givenits mothers day, says they are. I make an appointment online filled everything out but then come to the location and no one is there. I dont know. I feel like they could have put they werent gonna be open. Stuff happens but I was upset. Dont know how I made the appointment if no one was there

I can’t speak for the walk-in situation because we snagged an appointment online. It was a beautiful, flawless experience. All paperwork, insurance cards, and signatures were done through a link that was text messaged to me the day before our appointment. We were able to check in earlier than they open, as soon as we arrived and parked. When I walked in, there were two people ahead of me but I believe because we checked in and we’re already registered we were seen first. The entire appointment took less than 30 minutes and my son had the prescription that he needed to get better. As a mom of three kids, I have visited my fair share of facilities. This location was clean, beautifully decorated for Christmas, had a Disney movie playing to entertain my son for the minuscule wait that we had, and the staff were fantastic! I noticed when we were leaving the people who had originally walked in without appointments were already out of the waiting room which leads me to believe they have a very low wait time for walk-ins.I am truly so thankful for this experience. It’s stressful enough having one kid sick but I had three during this time. And I myself was also sick and very frazzled and exhausted. This NextCare location on Menaul is my go to from now on.

Staff members were professional and accommodating and PAC Petersen was excellent.

I visited because of a deep cough that hadn’t lessened at all in over a week. Linda, a nurse practitioner, examined me and explained the causes of my symptoms. She was very thorough and did not hurry me. I left with three prescriptions. Yes I waited 50 minutes but I appreciated her time and am aware that she took time with every patient. Besides I would have waited 2 weeks to see my own doc.

Went to do a TB test for work, and was told to come back Saturday or Sunday. I came back on sunday, and they tell me its too late. That wouldve been good to know prior, so i wasted $30 because they cant communicate. Also no one picks up the phone, wouldve saved me a trip from coming down here. Only up side is this place sucks so bad that its never busy

They are always friendly, fast and efficient. This is my new go-to. Its easier than going to my primary care. Thats for sure.

The visit was ok. I have so many symptoms however did not have fever. The Dr. said Im suffering from allergies. Which I have never had allergies that made me feel like this. I know my body and what illnesses I have had. This feels like when I had bronchitis and or covid 19. Covid 19 test was negative. So I got prescription for prednisone and albuterol. The very next day I woke up with 102.7 fever. Yeah I may be suffering from allergies but allergies is not gonna Give me 102.7 fever. It never has. Used to be a great place to go to when you need help. Allergies. Lol. Will never be going back there. Will spread the word too. Date of visit 04/04/2024

Charge nurse had a bit of attitude and when I asked for clarification she got a bit worse. Nothing bad but it was way to early in the day to already be tired of answering the question of us knowing how to get our prescription filled

It all depends on the provider. Most of the time I get really really good service here and theyre friendly and communicative. The last few times not so much. I got a female provider who seemed to be in a rush from the moment she walked in. I felt unheard and the advice she gave didnt line up with advice Id had in the past nor did I get the medication I needed to calm down my cough so I could sleep. It was frustrating and Ill no longer go on Fridays. I have had great experiences with other providers there so Im rating 3 stars.

I came in on the weekend with low immune system per blood work at 5:15pm. We have great insurance, and medical savings, the woman, heavy accent, was so rude and negative. She basically tried to humiliate me saying I dont have insurance loudly, even though we do, they just dont take Presbyterian. Then when I said we have medical savings, she said they probably dont take that. When I told her my dr said not to go in regular ER due to my weaker immune system, she said you will pay $190 and he may send you there anyway. She said after you get back there the price rises. I asked her why it was $70 some dollars last time I had my throat swabbed... she said that is because there is a Provider back there today.I explained that I have been under care of cancer center and cant go to the crowded ER with my current blood work, she was even ruder.What kind of establishment are they running here? Where are they hiring from? So prices vary like market place fish depending on a Provider being there.The one on the West side was nothing like this but perhaps ownership has changed?We thought this would be a place to be exposed to less germs. Instead, I encountered a cruel and negative receptionist. NEVER AGAIN

Clinic is good; clean, staff is nice enough. You can never reach them on the phone though (even when they tell you to call them for results), and their app is kinda terrible. Docs were very nice even though the problem wasnt quite fixed. Ill probably try them once more in the future.

My primary doctor could not see me until October…today is June 21st! The staff at NextCare had me in with Dr. Allen within 10 minutes. I’ve never been seen by other Dr. at that pace. I will certainly recommend NextCare to others and they will be my go to for non life threatening issues.Thanks for your speedy professionalism!!!

Extensive waiting periods but I believe thats not abnormal across the entire industry right now. The care was very good. I felt heard, I felt they took all the steps they possibly could to help me figure out what my symptoms meant and the underlying problem. The receptionist that helped me was super great, getting me in at a time that worked for me in the same day.

Awful. Poor care. The Physicians Assistant (Not Doctor) told me he didnt know what was wrong with my throat and asked me if I wanted an antibiotic or not. Really?? Im not the professional. Then he told me I could take a covid test AT HOME. Thats why I paid $75, so HE could diagnose me. Then, 2 months later I get a bill for the throat swab he did. It was billed to a TEXAS Quest Diagnostics, so its out of my network. Im working on contesting this bill, as I was never informed they would be sending it out of state, or that it would be an additional charge. The No Surprises Act of 2022 should cover this. I will never go there again. 0 stars if possible. Truly surprised with the 4 stars.

I scheduled 3 different visits to get an in person appointment 12+ hours before the scheduled appointment time. All appointments were changed to be remote, with the final changing 5 minutes prior to the appointment while in the parking lot (prior appointments had been cancelled upon Nextcare changing them to remote). Upon discharge, I was notified there was no copay despite me informing front office staff I had a 30$ copay. Within 4 days, and without notification, I was informed I had a 50$ debt which had been sent to collections without any prior attempted contact on behalf of Nextcare.

Avoid this clinic at all cost! They are rude and unprofessional to say the least. I was there Friday, my appointment was at 7:15 I was put into a room and left for over an hour and never once checked on. Once I did see someone I was given a prescription by a PA who didn’t even have the DEA credentials to write that prescription. I sat on hold for almost an hour trying to reach someone, Mel (customer service agent) was nice and did all she could to help me. However when I tried to call this morning to get transferred to the clinic I was HUNG UP on by some guy who obviously doesn’t have the ability to even tie his own shoes let along be in a profession of caring and treating people! Medical malpractice at its finest! I was treated as though I was a drug seeking junkie by the PA Andrew Allen! AVOID THIS CLINIC AT ALL COST!!

I love coming here the online website allows you to make an appointment even late at night for the next day and the paperwork is easy to submit online. They honor the appointment time they don’t make you wait they’re always fast and friendly and the prescriptions get called in electronically ASAP to your pharmacy on file yes I’d definitely recommend this Urgent Care and give it 10 stars if I could but it only goes up to 5…..!

Had a sick 1 year old who was super fussy . The front desk was amazing , chris was amazing he gave us updates through out the visit and the Dr. was super patient, kind and caring !

** Very Poor Experience ** After calling the NextCare Call Center in Mesa, AZ -- I was advised that I could receive a chest x-ray at this location in Albuquerque. I came in mid-afternoon on 9/17/22 and had that vibe that I was interrupting their day. The technician took my vitals, but never told me what they were!! I spoke with Linda Baker, FNP - who advised me that I could not have a chest x-ray with out a Doctors orders. She and another staff member then told me that it was late in the day and they all wanted to go home. I understand that, but is that really what you say to patients? Now in February of 2023 I am getting a bill from this business for $10 for this experience. It really seems bizarre to me. Never received service, never even got my vital signs but am being sent a bill for $10. I cannot recommend this Urgent Care based on this experience.

I was able to check and do my paperwork from home, then just tell the nice receptionist at the front my name when I got here. I was able to be seen fairly quickly, especially for already being backed up on a Monday. They were all very nice and helpful.

They charged me near $140 for refilling a medication i need in order to sleep!! all because their receptionist didnt put in my insurance after taking my insurance card!! ridiculous!!!

Best Urgent Care I have ever been to. I’ve taken family members there twice this winter. I was able to make same day appointments online. Their facility is very clean, seating is appropriately distanced, and staff is friendly and efficient. We were taken back for our appointments quickly and didn’t have to wait long to be seen by a provider. The PA who provided our care was exceptional. He was personable, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Working in healthcare myself, I recognize and appreciate the time and effort it takes to provide high quality care. Definitely recommend.

They were able to see my wife very quickly when she was having problems with her back. The wait wasnt that long, which was surprising and the staff were helpful. The building was clean and so was the parking lot, with very little litter. I have this place down as our go to urgent care since it is close and we had a positive experience.

NextCare did a great job assisting my daughter when she needed to see a Dr. ASAP!It was easy to sign up as a new patient. Pretty decent actually. The wait once in a room was extremely long, but it did seem like just one dude. Once seen though he was great and helped with what I needed. If you call ahead and book an appointment you can do all the paper work before hand via phone. They are all pretty nice and it wasnt super busy or anything. Would recommed, just prepare for it all to take a couple hours like most urgent cares. :)

My wife got a shoulder injury from skiing. Being from out of town we found an urgent care with a good google rating. BE WARNED, our experience did not live up to the rating. The visit to this urgent care started off fine. We came back at our appointment time and we were promptly taken back. That’s where the customer service took a nose dive. My wife sat in the room for over an hour before being seen. Once seen things progressed fine, and they took an X-ray. The doctor told my wife she often reads the X-rays wrong so it’s best to have a radiologist review it and we would receive a call in 2 hours by radiologist to confirm results. It’s now been over 24 hours. We are the only ones who call the clinic. They have ZERO customer service to even reach back out, even though we’ve been told numerous times 2 more hours. The latest call my wife made to them… they can’t find her X-rays. At this point, even if they do find the X-ray, how am I to believe they found her X-rays?? They haven’t been truthful at any other point in this process. Stay away!

Nurse named Brenda told me the wrong results, I was given a copy & thought she may have given me the wrong results so I called all day and despite being told someone would get back to me, no one ever did. I showed up the same day before closing and the nurse said I had to make an appointment again for the next day to get the results explained again?? I came by today and the man at the front was very kind and helpful and confirmed that she told me the wrong results. DO NOT GET BLOOD WORK OR ANY TESTS DONE HERE, nurses are incompetent. She had no right to be speaking to patients unless she was certain of the results.

Friendly staff. Very clean. Not a crazy long wait. I was there for my son that was sick. He just turned 18 so he went in the examining Tim alone and was very happy with the practitioner he saw. Positive experience all around. Ive been to a handful of urgent care facilities in Albuquerque. No comparison. This is now it go to.

I went for my scheduled appointment at 8:15 on a Saturday. No one was there when I arrived and a sign said they were closed for the day. After going back home, I called the 800 number and finally got a hold of someone. He figured out that everyone was just late so I went back. It was quick and the practitioner was very friendly and helpful. From what I gathered, they were going to close but then changed it back to open. So be sure to be diligent in calling for help! Otherwise it was a decent experience for.urgent care

This is by far the best in and out urgent care we have been to. Staff were helpful as it was our 1st visit to a nextcare location. nurse practitioner was quick and very informative. Thank you for being there for us moms out there who go in panic mood.

Was happy to get an appointment late in the day on the Sunday of a holiday weekend, though there was a considerable wait time. Staff was courteous and professional.

Very nice people and quick customer service. Only negative is that the doctor accidentally didn’t prescribe me the correct dosage for my daily medication. Not a biggy for me because I can just take multiple pills to get to the right dosage until I can get a new primary health care physician.

The nurses and doctors were very nice and helpful! Often asked questions multiple times in case people are confused or lost, very helpful! The wait was a little long , but we got perfect help have no complaints!

The workers of NEC are were very kind and paid attention to my paperwork that was not completed did detective work to finish the black spots on it! The doctor gave me an examination as if it was my yearly check up! I was very satisfied with the procedure of this urgent care facility! They truly put CARE IN NEC ARE!! This place is amazing and I think Ive found a treasure. You can make appointments, or just walk in. They tell you how many are in front of you so you can wait I the car and relax. The doctor was fabulous and actually listened to me! Wow!!!!

Scheduling was just so easy and the overall way the staff was made it all the better. Especially not feeling well from being rear ended and in a significant amount of pain at the time.

Everyone was nice and great until I met with the provider Alice sisneros who was rude and dismissive made me very uncomfortable. I also waited an hour for the provider to meet with me for 5 minutes.

Yesterday I went to urgent care everyone talks very politely my first visit was good and doctor also very good.

The clinic and staff were excellent.The physical plant was very clean and the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and expeditious. My visit because of a sinus infection lasted 20 minutes from the moment I walked in the door.The only problem was the online app. After filling out 15 minutes worth of personal info, the app asked for a picture of my drivers license. My laptop doesnt have a camera. But, I called the clinic and they honored my appointment time. They were very friendly.

Great service at the location on Menaul, they got me in quick and took care of all of my needs. Unfortunately they sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and when I called the 1 800 number it literally took 35 minutes to speak to someone to see what happened to my prescription. Would have received 5 stars but this was a bit too long to speak to someone for questions.

Best care fast and got better dependable doctors

Extremely slow service. I had an appointment for 9:30, got there early around 9 to see if I could get in sooner. That was definitely not the case. I didnt get taken back from the lobby until 10:15 so by that time I had been there for an hour plus. The nurse was very rude while taking my vitals, literally told me the reason I came in was ridiculous. Finally got taken to the room to get seem by a doctor and waited for another 40 minutes. The doctor was great, and so was the front staff. However, this office definitely could use more staff to make it a little quicker.

Linda Baker, NP, did great job. She is very kind, caring and efficient in her work. The facility is bright and clean. The support staff were pleasant and kind. Overall, a good place to go for unexpected injuries.

Kind of a long wait, and they don’t bill out so you have to pay then and there, but the staff and doctors were knowledgeable, kind, and fast once you get seen. Overall a good experience and I would come back.

I was seen here today for strep throat. I was a walk-in at 8:00 in the morning. I had seen a doctor had a prescription and on my way out the door by 8:30. Fantastic! Plus the facility was clean which is just amazing.

Quiet, clean and very efficient. I should have read “discharge” note before leaving Because 24 hours later I realized there’s a contradictory piece of advice for the dressing on my finger laceration.

Went into this facility for some issues. I got medication and all was well. They told me they would call me when my test results came in.The day before yesterday they called me, i accidentally missed the call and called back. Was put on hold for an hour and a half and never got a call. Tried again today and was put on hold. These are important test results that i need. They never pick up the phone, even when they’re not even busy.

Went to this place after going to another one of their facilities asked to see my partners ID after being told they dont have an ultrasound to see if theres a blood clot they didnt give back my partners ID and we went to an ER. We had to drive back here to get the ID so she could get help at the ER. This company is a joke. They dont care about health care all they care about is taking your money. Dont waste your time.

Great place; friendly staff. I used their easy online portal to schedule an appointment and fill out all info. In and out in an hour. The PA was friendly and took care of my issue and got me on my way.

They advertise walk-in but when we tried they told us they were by appointment only. After we got an appointment set up and returned, there was still an hour wait. Finally my girlfriend got a diagnosis of strep throat and they sent her RX to Walgreens. Once to Walgreens, they had already closed. No huge deal, we went back and asked for a different pharmacy. The front desk staff showed extreme annoyance that we were back and refused to assist us with the address of the 24hr pharmacy. Not being from ALB simply saying the road isnt much of a help. After finding the pharmacy we waited the 30 min they told us to wait and the RX had still not arrived. We then waited another 45 min and it still hadnt arrived. We had to drive back to the urgent care and get a paper Rx to bring back to the pharmacy. All while receiving bad attitude from the staff.

Place is very clean. I was really sick and was waring a head scarf. The reason why I went back was because I was treated so nice. But the secretary, wasnt very kind to me. Maybe because I had a head covering?

This is now my second bad experience here.I have a son that is in a wheelchair and a 1 year old coming in for an apt and we were immediately stopped Im the entry way being yelled at from across the building that only 1 parent is allowed and one needs to not come in. We explained that one of our sons cant walk (I was carrying him). We then explained how they both have an appointment and one parent can not carry both a 7 year old that cant walk and a baby!The nurse didnt walk up to us or try to explain anything just continued to yell across the lobby at us. I have NEVER been treated so disrespectful and infront of other patients in the lob y. I would like for someone to reach out about this incident.

Absolutely was hands down the fastest urgent care center Ive ever been to! Staff was friendly and the Physician that saw my daughter made her feel comfortable. He is very good with kids and I would definitely return again with my daughter. Thanks NextCare for the fast and enjoyable experience.

Allows visibly sick people to sit in the waiting room unmasked thus endangering anyone who seeks care here. This is not safe or ethical. Staff did not seem to understand why this is an issue.

My second time here. Today they were pretty busy, so they took my name and asked me to come back in about an hour. That let me use my time better. I felt respected and treated very well, just as I had the first time.

(Update below) AVOID. Extremely unpleasant receptionist would not make eye contact with myself or my husband, would not even give me her name. 2023-08-10 AM. Im guessing shes homophobic because we did nothing to bother her. Husband was silent until we decided to cancel the visit. I came there for care and all I got was attitude, eye rolling, and indifference. She made us feel like a burdon to her and not at all welcome or wanted at all. When I tried to talk to a manager the manger just told us to get out. UN BELIEVABLE. This should be illegal. 4.4 stars yeah right. Ill never believe a Google rating again. She nearly ruined our vacation.Update: after sending a detailed explanation of what how we were treated to the corporate liaison who replied on this review, silence. THEY DONT CARE. What an irredeemably wretched organization!

Great facility. The first impression, it is very clean and seems new! I had seen it the day before I had to go there while stopping at the next door Walmart (also nice). That night I took a fall and needed to get my foot checked out the next morning. Everyone was very friendly, not a long waiting time and Dr. Celeste took a good look at my foot. I am pleased with my experience. I also received a follow up email about my condition the next day. Which is nice. Would definitely recommend it.

This is really the worst urgent care I have been to in Albuquerque. They told us that me and my husband can’t both sit inside and fill out paperwork outside if we are together even though they allow other people with companion. On top of that, I already have an appointment and they still took forever to check me in though I have check online. They were also having a hard time letting an elderly woman pay her fees because they said their system is kinda glitching but she has to figure out a different way of payment. They also does not offer X-Ray at the location on Saturday’s so if you think you will need an x-ray then don’t book an appointment with this location. It really was a waste of my time since they don’t put this disclaimer on their site when you check in. They knew I was having pulmonary and throat issues but they didn’t tel me or let me know that they might not be able to help me anyway. They just charged me whatever they wanted and just wasted my time.

Visited the location on menaul tonight with my daughter, she had gotten dirt and debris in her eyes playing at a park earlier today. We went right in, there was very little wait time and she was seen by the doctor within about 20 minutes from the time we walked in the door. The front desk staff were very kind, organized and very polite, although the doctor seemed to be in a hurry and didnt really spend hardly any time with us at all, but this was the only negative about our experience. Overall it was quick, easy and a safe place to receive urgent care and I would definitely use them again if needs be.

We took my 3 year old son for an ear infection, the provider was fine, however the prescription was written in error and the pharmacy couldnt fill it. They had closed by the time we realized there was a problem. There is no way to contact the provider through this companys terrible bureaucratic nightmare of a phone bank. After being on the phone with these people all morning the day AFTER the visit, we never got it resolved. We were promised a call back within an hour, and that didnt happen. Absolutely unacceptable, my kid has been running 104 fevers for days. Fortunately, I was able to call in a favor to a friend and got the antibiotics we needed, with no help from this company. Go elsewhere, save yourself the hassle.In response to the Clinic Managers response, we did contact the company about this, there can be no resolution. I had to go through other avenues to get my son the medication he needed. Hes treated, no thanks to this company and Id prefer to not deal with this place again.

Great care from physician. Horrible treatment by staff. There are so many other choices. I wont go back.

I was able to sign in before I got to the clinic. The wait time was very reasonable. The staff from walking in to leaving were kind and caring. The Dr. listened to me and prescribed what I knew I could tolerate. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this Urgent Care to others.

Recently moved to NM. It was amazing, clean the front desk friendly caring effectively checked my on line information (easy to complete.) The NP was very knowledgeable to my condition for health issues. A Big Kudos to the staff and environmen.

I like that you can either walk in or schedule an appt ahead of time. The front staff that checked me in were very nice and professional. I was able to fill out paperwork from home. I had 6 people ahead of me, but was called back within 15 mins. My nurse that took my vitals was very very sweet! My doctor was very nice and helpful. I was out of there from walking in to checking out in about 30 mins. Highly recommended!!

Super easy, didnt even have to go inside to check in. Did it from our car. They text us when they were ready. We went in, took us back did vitals, then to a room, Didnt wait long before Dr came in. Efficient, fast, friendly and on our way.

Booked an appointment at 10am for a simple Covid test. Arrived at 955am and waited until 1035am before being called back. I was then tested but told that I still need to see the provider as per policy. I didn’t ask to see the provider and didn’t need to see them. The provider was very nice and understood that it was silly to make you see them. Nextcare needs to reconsider this new policy change because you are causing longer wait times for people who actually want to see the doctor.

I had an appointment to which I showed up right on time waited a half an hour to get back into a room where I had to wait another hour?! Not exaggerating! Total time there two hours got nothing to take for What I went in there for ! got handed some papers and shown the door. I will never EVER go there again.!! Complete waste of time

The staff was very nice, the clinic was clean and not crowded. We checked in ahead of time online and were in and out in about 20 minutes. I am very grateful for the services provided. During these scary and worrisome times it’s nice to have such a safe and efficient place to get a COVID test done.

I went in expecting the two hour wait that they said it would take since they were down to one physician. It took a lot less than that and the ladies were all super understanding of my impaired mobility due to a severe back spasm. I live nearby and hate going to the doctor. But this was relatively painless. I will certainly return now that I know it’s super easy.
